Set 9 of Teamfight Tactics, like previous TFT Sets, will have a mid-Set refresh that will switch out some of the units and traits for new ones.

The second part of (TFT) Teamfight Tactics’ Set 9 Runeterra Reforged, which will provide new traits, units, and other upgrades to the auto-battler, is widely anticipated by players. Runeterra Reforged Horizonbound is the name of the mid-set, or Set 9.5.  and Riot Games have pledged to provide information about this update every day this week beginning on August 21.

New traits and units

So far, two additional regions, as well as units for each of them, have been revealed. Pirates are back in TFT, and Riot Games has introduced the Bilgewater trait and units. Furthermore, the trait will have nine breakpoints (3/5/7/9).

Bilgewater locals mark their foes for periodic barrages from their waterborne artillery!”

In the short video clip given by the publisher, you can witness a similar effect to Gangplank’s ult, followed by a ship sailing towards enemy troops and exploding, doing AOE damage. This might be the waterborne artillery mentioned by Riot. Here are the Bilgewater units that will be included in Set 9.5:

In addition, we can see Naafiri in the earlier image published by Riot Games. Given how unpopular Aatrox was, Riot Games may be thinking about replacing him with Naafiri for the Darkin trait in set 9.5.

With the introduction of Bilgewater, we obtained a new portal that will be hosted by Bilgewater.

Region Portal – Rat Town: Lucky Shops can appear randomly featuring units tailored to your army.

Set 9.5 Teamfight Tactics does not yet have a firm release date, although, players might expect it to arrive with Patch 13.18.
