A TFT streamer was left speechless when their 3-star Bel’Veth was unable to carry hard enough
Riot’s enormously popular auto-chess title Teamfight Tactics, or TFT, is a strategy game. Fielding strong 5-cost units to overwhelm the enemy is one approach for creating an immensely powerful board in Teamfight Tactics.
And, in most cases, 3 starring a 5-cost unit guarantees first place. Unfortunately, that does not appear to be the case with Teamfight Tactics streamer TFToddy.
TFT streamer Bel’Veth 3 comes in second place in the saddest way
In the video, TFToddy appeared to be in a good position with some good 5-star units and on his way to a 3-star. He was certain to receive LP at the end of this game because there were only three players remained in the lobby. Toddy was level 9 and on his way to find a Bel’Veth 3, which would very probably seal him first place position.
That is precisely what he accomplished, but the consequences of the 3-star Bel’Veth did not go as intended.
Toddy squared up against a capped Gunner board, which included a 2-star Senna, Gunner Urgot, and Zeri as the core units. That shouldn’t be an issue for 3-star Bel’Veth, whose ability should have easily cleared the opponent board.
Surprisingly, the Bel’Veth battled significantly against the Zaun board and fell before taking down the Zeri. Toddy’s joy suddenly changed to shock and quiet as the streamer was taken aback by what had just happened.
Perhaps a 3-star Bel’Veth still can’t guarantee a first place for streamer. Likewise, while the new TFT set 9.5 is still on the PBE servers, Bel’Veth is considered the weakest 5-star unit and she hasn’t been recognized much by players and streamers as she was in previous patches.
Hopefully, with the new set coming soon, the devs will engage in making her a better unit.
