The draw for Worlds 2022 will be held on September 11, right after the LCS finals

Almost all of the teams that will compete in the League of Legends World Championship in 2022 have been decided. Riot Games has announced the date for the draw show, with only a few teams remaining. The draw for the group stage and play-in stage will take place following the LCS finals on September 11.

The play-in stage will feature 12 teams divided into three pools. The first pool will include the LPL #4 seed, the LCK #4 seed, the LEC #3 seed, and the PCS #2 seed. The second pool will include the LEC #4 seed, the LCS #3 seed, the VCS #2 seed, and the LJL #1 seed, while the third pool will include the LCK #1 seed, the TCL #1 seed, and the CBLOL #1 seed. Teams from the same region cannot be grouped together.

The group stage will feature 12 teams and three pools. The first pool will include the top seeds from LPL, LCK, LCS, and LEC. The second pool will include the LPL #2 seed, the LCK #2 seed, the LEC #2 seed, and the PCS #1 seed. The third pool will consist of the LPL #3 seed, the LCK #2 seed, the LCS #2 seed, and the VCS #1 seed.

For both play-ins and groups, teams from the same region cannot be drawn into the same group. The teams that advanced from the play-ins will be assigned to the fourth slot in each group.
