The rework list for 2021 will include several surprising champions

Riot Games revealed that there will be a few suprising names on the Rework list 2021.

League champions with rather “outdated” kits such as Shyvana, Nocturne, Udyr… are revealed to be on the rework list.

Besides releasing new champions, reworking old characters is also an important part of the development of League gameplay. The reworks are not only about updating the champion itself but also influence the current meta and diversify options for gamers.

With the Fiddlesticks and Volibear reworks showing relatively success, the devs recently revealed that they would continue to hand over the selection of reworking champions to League gamers. Specifically, according to the article “A look back at League in 2020”, Riot dev states that they are planning to launch another vote in the upcoming 2021.

“On the VGU side, we were excited to deliver Fiddle and Voli while giving earlier looks into their development. Unfortunately, we weren’t able to push out a new VGU poll as we had hoped. With Dr. Mundo on track, next year’s VGU work is shaping up to go a little more smoothly, so we’re planning to run another poll in 2021. When we do, you’ll see a few familiar faces, but also a few more names that (likely!) won’t be too surprising.”

After the above information was published, the community has immediately predicted the champions that are about to be on the upcoming list. Among them, Shyvana and Udyr are the two most mentioned names since both of them are having relatively big problems in terms of gameplay.

In the Preseason stage, Shyvana remains the same gameplay as she still relies on the AP items, while Riot wants to direct her as the fighter. It can not be mention Udyr, who has a kit as well as the gameplay are too simple and easy to guess. Therefore, they are likely to be the next two champions to be worked on next year.

With reference to the reworking issue, Riot has revealed that they will be adding some “surprising” names to the list in 2021. Keep in mind that the aim of the reworks isn’t just to update the “outdated” champions, they also want to change the somewhat monotonous gameplay of some champions. It is likely to appear other names such as Tryndamere, Amumu, Cho’Gath,… which also fell into a similar situation, most likely they were in the sights of the devs.

Perhaps we will have to wait for a little longer, at least after Dr. Mundo rework debuted to know the precise time of other plans.
