Just few hours ago, Samira – The Desert Rose has been available to play in PBE Server. With the release of League patch 10.18 on all severs and the new PsyOps collection with Samira as a member, She will surely be the 151st champion soon. (Maybe in the 10.19 patch.)
With this new trailer, Riot has shown us some exciting fact about Samira. She may has an arrogant personality and a bit egoistic. The voice lines like “Name’s Samira. Try not to slow me down.” or “Buy something nice. On me.” has proven this.
Not only the voice lines but her character also be shown through taking down opponent and tipping 1 gold by using her taunt (Ctrl + 2). It is Riot Reav3 an Blitzzlol – Champion Developers – that share to gamers about this.
To explaining about that, Blizz said on Twitter that her taunt was inspired by Luigi’s taunt from the Smash Bros. games. He continued to said that not only deal 1 damage to whatever it hits, it also grants 1 gold for them. It auto-locks onto champion’s dead bodies, so you can use it to give them 1 gold as a recompense for your sin.
So, taunt wisely, Summoners! Don’t spam Ctrl + 2.
For now, at least on the PBE, players have feedback that she is currently a little too strong. Try to think about while trading with the hottest-champion-ever – Yasuo, she can take down his passive just a simple action with a low cost : Ctrl + 2. So, don’t get your hopes up about that feature being added. Blizz made clearly in a reply: “just some random thing we’ve had in testing for a long ass time now, forgot about its existence tbh (since the math equals out to roughly the same as scuttle having resists until CC’d).”. So, the feature was unlikely to ship.
Despite without the unique taunt, Samira still have a intense skill set. She will bring a wind of change to the Marksman roles of League of Legends. Let’s wait and see what she can does and hope that she will have that unique taunt when Patch 10.19 arrives.
