TOP 9: Most Unique Weapons in League of Legends

There are so many amzing, well-designed weapons in the League of Legends Universe. However, there are some especially unique ones that you might not notice. Let’s see what they are.

Qiyana’s Ohmlatl

The first on the list belongs to the Ixaocan Princess, Qiyana. As you see, the Ohmlatl seems quite familiar to some Marvel fans. Especially, Ohmlatl is a bigger, fancier version of Nakia Chakram weapon in Black Panther Fans. Different from the Chakram or Chalikar, Qiyana’s Ohmlatl is much bigger like a hula hoop.

Nakia Chakram and Qiyana Ohmlatl

Back in the 2nd century BC, the Chakram is a throwing weapon from the Indian subcontinent. It is circular with a sharpened outer edge and a diameter of 12-30 centimeters (4.7-11.8 in). It is also known as chalikar meaning “circle”, and was sometimes referred to in English writings as a “war-quoit.”

Jax’s Street Lamp

Jax, Grandmaster at Arms

The second one on this list is Jax’s Street Lamp! Though considered a “master of weapons”, Jax often wielded an Icathian polearm as his primary weapon. This polearm is actually a discarded brazier-stave blazed with elemental fire that can harm the Void.

Even with this weird, simple, but powerful weapon, Jax can counter most of Top Laner champions, so as most of the champions late-game. After years of players wondering if Jax would ever have a real weapon, Riot Games finally released God Staff Jax in 2017.

Now Jax can finally has a “real weapon”!

Jayce’s Mercury Hammer/Cannon

Similar to many superheroes in comics, League of Legends also has many champions who can create high-tech weapons. Jayce’s mercury hammer/cannon is one of those.

This hammer is made with Runeterra’s newly emergent fusion of magic and technology called Hextech. It harnesses the magical power contained within extremely rare crystals, and its power is limited only by the imagination of their users.

Hextech is capable of amazing feats, from powering machinery to creating beams of light capable of cutting the strongest steel. Piltover and Zaun are the most tuned into this technology but have vastly differing motives.

Ekko’s Zero-Drive (Z-Drive)

While Marvel’s Avenger had to wait for years to discover the Pym Particles (also known as Cross Particles) and Tony Stark’s high-tech time-travel portal to go back to be able to go back to the past; in a different universe, there is a kid in Runeterra who can go back to the past… literally, every day.

Coming from Zaun – a poor and polluted city, Ekko created the Zero-Drive out of Hextech. This time machine not only helps him to go back to the past but also give him a huge advantage in fights.

This is definitely a “Time Stone” in League of Legends universe

Rumble’s Junkyard Titan

Rumble called his mechanized Junkyard Suit Tristy. According to League of Legends’ relationships, Rumble has a crush on Tristana. This mech battle-suit of his might have been named after Tristana.

Rumble

Eventhough there was no high-tech available, but this junkyard titian has all the weapons you needed. There are a huge fire gun, a large barbed stick that can bring you to 0 HP easily.

Against ranged champions, Tristy has all these heavy rockets ready to fire. Rumble successfully created a high-quality machine with random scraps; he really deserves to be considered as one of Runeterra’s genius.

Sonna’s Etwahl

Sona’s weapon called the Etwahl and pronounced the same as “étoile“, the French word for star. In her hands, it played tones which stilled or quivered the hearts of those around her. Sona discovered a potent and deadly use for her weapon, using its vibrations to slice objects from a distance (her Q ability).

Besides the use of playing music, charming animals , or for entertainment purposes, sometimes, instruments can be used as a weapon. Something that only make sense in movies like Kung Fu Hustle (2004).

Trundle’s Boneshiver

Trundle was just as strong as any other troll in his tribe. However, different from other trolls, Trundle has intelligence. One day while wandering far from the troll tribes, and got lost in a maze of twisted, howling canyons beneath the Freljord; Trundle met the Ice Witch, Lissandra.

Trundle told Lissandra how he had been cast out by the chieftain, and that he wanted to find a great weapon and become a troll king like the old Kings. Later, Lissandra agreed and handed him a nightly club of ice called Boneshiver.

Braum’s Ornn’s Enchanted Door

This is another weapon that was enchanted by the Ice Witch, Lissandra. However, according to the lore, this shield was stolen and never returned to Lissandra.

Braum is blessed with massive biceps and an even bigger heart. He is a beloved Iceborn hero of the Frejord. Braum use his shield to roam the frozen north as a cheerful protector, helping the vulnerable as he works toward his dream of a peaceful Freljord.

Shen’s Spirit Blade

Shen is an Ionian warrior among the secretive Kinkou. He is he only son of KuSho who always longs to remain free from the confusion of emotion, prejudice, and ego.

After his father’s death, Shen took up his father’s spirit blade as well as the title of Eye of Twilight. He then be able to walk to unseen path of dispassionate judgment between the spirit realm and the physical world.

Shen Art from Legends of Runeterra

Shen’s Spirit Blade is different than other old/traditional weapons. This blade is a kind of supernatural weapon that contains the souls of the dead swordsmen and has a special connection with Shen.
