The long-awaited dream of League of Legends players is finally coming true with the impending release of Train Conductor Ornn.
This highly sought-after skin, which has been a fan favorite concept for years, was officially confirmed by Riot on March 17 during an exclusive world premiere showcased in the LCS playoff match between Team Liquid and Dignitas.
Fans have been eagerly anticipating the arrival of this skin ever since Ornn was introduced to League of Legends. While custom, fan-made versions have circulated within the community for quite some time, it’s only now that Train Conductor has been given the green light by Riot.
The essence of the concept revolves around the imaginative scenario of Ornn replacing his fiery ram with a massive locomotive whenever he unleashes his ultimate ability, Call of the Forge God.
Riot has brought this vision to life by incorporating details such as train tracks that materialize whenever he uses his ultimate. In terms of appearance, the skin showcases Ornn donning the attire of a traditional old-school train conductor, complete with a signature striped hat and buttoned-up overalls. Notably, instead of wielding his customary hammer, he brandishes a striking red wrench as his weapon of choice.
Arguably the most captivating aspect of this skin is its designed recall animation. Ornn summons a train, embarking on a journey along the rails through a portal that transports him back to base.
As of now, there’s no specific timeline for the release of Train Conductor Ornn, but based on the progress showcased during the LCS livestream, the skin appears to be nearing completion.
Given its theme and the delightful animations typically associated with April Fools’ skins in the past, it’s plausible that Train Conductor Ornn might be included in this year’s lineup of April Fools’ skins in League. With the potential for its debut coinciding with the launch of Patch 14.7 next month, fans can remain hopeful for the arrival of Train Conductor Ornn at the station in the near future.
