What’s Yasuo and Yone Buffs in LoL Path 14.20?

The upcoming Patch 14.20 for League of Legends has been revealed, and while it includes many buffs and nerfs to champions, items, and runes that players largely agree with, some changes have sparked concern.

In particular, the buffs for Yasuo and Yone have caught the attention of many, leading to mixed reactions from the community. Both champions are already considered two of the most frustrating to face due to their high mobility and substantial damage output. Now, with these buffs, players are worried they might become even more difficult to handle.

Yasuo and Yone have always been champions known for their ability to deal massive amounts of damage, but they come with a trade-off: their reliance on Critical Hit items. This made the two brothers relatively squishy, meaning they could be dealt with more easily if players could survive their burst.

However, with the introduction of items like Blade of the Ruined King, Stridebreaker, and Immortal Shieldbow, both Yasuo and Yone have become much tankier. These new items provide more survivability while allowing the brothers to maintain high damage output.

Despite this, Riot Games made sweeping changes in Patch 14.19, nerfing many of the items across the game, including several bruiser items. As a result, Yasuo and Yone became noticeably weaker, which is why Riot plans to buff both champions in the upcoming Patch 14.20 to bring them back up to a competitive level.

Yasuo and Yone Buffs in LoL Patch 14.20

Yasuo

Q – Steel Tempest

R – Last Breath

Yone

Q – Mortal Steel

Both Yasuo and Yone are receiving buffs to the critical damage on their Q abilities, making these abilities even stronger given how often they can be used. This is expected to encourage players to focus on building more Critical Chance items once again.

While these buffs may seem like positive changes for players who enjoy playing Yasuo and Yone, there’s growing concern that the champions could become too powerful. Many fear that their increased damage, paired with their already strong mobility, will make them overwhelmingly difficult to counter in certain situations.

The buffs for Yasuo and Yone are set to be implemented in Patch 14.20, which is expected to go live on Wednesday, October 9, 2024, according to League’s official schedule.
