Riot Games has revealed Duel, a new game mode specific to Wild Rift that will focus on 1v1s
Patch 3.4 is on the horizon, and Riot isn’t holding back with the impending updates.
Riot not only brings new and fascinating game modes to League of Legends PC, but also to Wild Rift. ARURF and a special game mode called Elemental Rift were just introduced to the game.
The Elemental Rift game mode was created to the game in order for Riot to evaluate whether or not the Rift improvements will function in Wild Rift, similar to League PC. Riot introduced the whole Elemental Rift to the game in patch 3.3 due to its popularity.
Riot has introduced a revised teaser video for Wild Rift patch 3.4, which shows off new additions and tweaks to the game. One of the things they demonstrated was a new Wild Rift-exclusive 1v1 game mode. Duel is the name of it.
New 1vs1 ARAM game mode
As previously indicated, this new game mode will be a 1vs1 battle that will take place on the ARAM map Howling Abyss. In this mode, you can choose and ban a champion before starting a match, as opposed to ordinary modes, when it happens after you find a match.
There are two ways to win once you’re in the game. The classic destroy the nexus condition is one option. The other is that if a player hits a certain kill target, that player is immediately credited as the winner. The promo video showed this victory condition.
Riot has yet to confirm whether or not Duel will include a ranked mode, but it wouldn’t surprise us given how fierce these types of 1v1 games can become after a while.
With all of the excitement coming around, the Duel will be available in League of Legends: Wild Rift patch 3.4, which is set to be released on September 15.
