September 17, Riot Games officially released the song “Take Over“, the theme for the Worlds in 2020. The song was performed by 3 artists who are Jeremy McKinnon (A Day To Remember), MAX and Henry. According to the comments on youtube, “Take Over” has so many similarities with previous works.
At first, it seems that Riot Games still likes the format of having a main character beating other players to step into the Worlds. The animation style is the same as what they have shown in the teaser, which has been reused for years.
Needless to say, Faker, the legendary Korean player, also appeared in the video. The first difference is that now he becomes a guide for the main character on his way towards the world championship instead of being the main character as he was before.
Some famous casters and players’ names also appeared in the video such as Madlife, Uzi, Phreak, etc. Thus, we can see that these people are always parts of League of Legends and Riot did actually express their appreciation towards them.
The main character in the video is a mysterious guy with Faker as his instructor. By the end of the video, he and his rival appeared in the final. The both have one common goal: reaching the prestigious trophy.
