The Worlds 2022 quarterfinals have finished. T1, Gen.G, and DRX, three of the four LCK teams, as well as one LPL team, JD Gaming, advanced to the semifinals.
On the biggest platform in LoL Esports, the quarterfinals saw the convergence of some intriguing narratives. The lone LPL team to get to the semifinals was JD Gaming, who overcame Rogue, the last hope of the West, 3-0. T1 also crushed RNG 3-0 to exact revenge for their loss in the MSI finals, and Gen.G needed a complete five-game series [again] against DWG KIA to advance. By defeating EDG in a reverse sweep, DRX became the first fourth-seed team to ever get to the semifinals.
