After a rough day 2, LCK teams pulled themselves together and brought their A game for Worlds Group stage day 3. LCS home teams on the other hand still struggle to achieve a first win for the region.

After a 0-3 day 2, LCK teams collected themselves and swept 3-0 across all groups.
1st seed Gen.G lead the charge against LCS 2nd seed 100 Thieves. Despite commendable effort from Ssumday’s Top Lane Aatrox, horrendous performances from 100T’s ADC and midlaner FBI and Abbedagge proved to be too much, and NA takes their 7th loss of the Main Event
Next up is another NA representative: Cloud9 faced off against T1. Once again, C9 toplaner Fudge gets the counterpick priority Jax against Zeus’ Aatrox, and once again Fudge gets hilariously stomped. Gumayusi’s Kaisa gets a free 11-0-4 game and C9 bows out after 25 mins.
Toughest match of the day for the Koreans is definitely 4th seed DRX vs Chinese 2nd seed Top Esports. Many expected domination from TES but Pyosik’s Jungle Graves proves too meta, going 6-0-8 to propel DRX past the Chinese giants. Jackeylove lost over 700 stacks on his Draven at one time.
All in all, LCK are responsible for both LCS losses on Worlds Group Stage day 3 and the only consolation for NA teams is that at least their flight home will be short.
LEC winning streak ended, GAM Esports still hasn’t managed to make their mark by Worlds Group stage day 3
Despite remarkable attempt from Kaiya’s Top Camille, VCS last hope GAM continues to look lackluster at the event. Rogue on the opposite are in top form proving themselves to be a real contender this year, extending LEC’s win streak to 4.
The streak was however immediately cut short as reigning champions EDward Gaming defeated EU 3rd seed Fnatic. Viper and Meiko’s Sivir/Yuumi got a 700 gold lead since minute 1 and the game was pretty much over even with Humanoid’s best efforts on his Azir mid.
Taiwanese representative Flying Oyster gets pummeled into submission by RNG in the remaining Bo1.
