Recently released champion Milio and reworked Yuumi has been confirmed by Riot to not be available during MSI
No surprises about Milio. Newly released champions traditionally went through lots of finetuning and balancing before they’re enabled for pro play. It’s commonplace especially in MOBA genre where drafts and power relative to all champions are extremely important especially at the highest levels.
But Yuumi being restricted despite having a rework precisely to address her balance issues seems to be the closest admission from Riot that the rework in 13.5 was an abject failure. They did not alter her ability to attach to another champion for buffs for fear of dismissing her identity, which is the main problem of Yuumi.
In fact, by reworking her Feline friendship passive, Riot actually made it even more rewarding for Yuumi to remain attached to a champion, while remaining untargetable! Many LoL players agree that unless this is fixed, no amount of rework can make the champion balanced.
