The newest Ryze bug related to his R – Realm Warp in the recent match of FNC against MSF.
Ryze has been one of the most picked champions in the history of the League of Legends Worlds Championship, the fact that he is currently having an Ultimate bug might seriously affect the appearance of this champion at Worlds 2021.
On August 21, in the LEC tournament match between FNC (Fnatic) and MSF (Misfits Gaming), FNC easily defeated direct competitor MSF with a score of 3-2. Another interesting part of the match is the occurrence of a Ryze’s Ultimate bug twice in a row.
Specifically, in the 19th minute of game 4, Nisqy’s Ryze utilized Realm Warp (R) to get both himself and Bwipo out of the siege phase at the dragon’s cave. Despite the fact that Bwipo’s Viego rushed directly into Realm Warp, only Nisqy managed to escape, leaving Viego in the dragon’s den. The organizers were obliged to call an immediate halt to the match as a result of this.
After returning to the game, the fault with Ryze’s ultimate resurfaced when, in the 23rd minute, Ryze’s ultimate failed to take Braum with him, leaving Hylissang behind in teamfights. The game was paused once more. We can see in the replay of the game that the Fnatic Support did not click out while in range of Realm Warp, therefore there is no other way to excuse the fact that this is clearly a bug.
If you pay carefully, you’ll see that this issue has happened quite a few times in both the ranked/normal and professional tournaments during the last two years. Another notable example of this mistake is the match between GAM and FL in April 2020 under the VCS framework or the match between GG and EG in January 2021 under the LCS framework.
Furthermore, this bug occasionally prevents Realm Warp from teleporting minions. It is unknown when Riot will take action to remedy this problem, but one thing is certain: no matter how many times he is repaired, Ryze will continue to be regarded as the “broken champion.”
Because Ryze has long been a trademark pick for numerous teams and players in Pro Play, including T1 Faker, this significant error may make the next Worlds 2021 less fair for teams who experience similar issues. Let’s hope Riot takes a deeper look at the issue and responds as soon as possible in preparation for Worlds 2021.
