Anivia and her egg…
The ARAM rework was introduced in Patch 12.23, along with a slew of new features such as Revamped Map and Hex gates. Although the rework alleviated some of the problems, it had several bugs.
Riot Games recently made significant adjustments to one of League of Legends’ most popular game types, however, it looks like the mode is still vulnerable to several game-breaking interactions.
In a recent Reddit video, an Anivia player was slained through an onslaught of damage in ARAM when their escape route is blocked by the ruins of a tower. This triggered the player’s passive, transforming Anivia into her Egg, which must likewise be defeated before she may revive. The Egg remained in place while appearing to be indestructible, disturbing the pathing of the minions and preventing the other side from ever advancing a minion wave.
Anivia respawned when her death timer expired, however, the Egg still remains in the bushes. Even when the enemy team dealt damage to it, the Egg and its health did not move, allowing the other team to easily stroll up and maintain an edge for as long as they wanted.
Players noticed that similar problems had been prevalent with Anivia for years, but mostly with her Blackfrost skin—without a clear explanation for it.
One fan speculated that this may be due to an interaction between the Egg’s animation and The Collector, which executes champions below a particular HP level, but no clear explanation for the bug is presently available.
As of now, due to the massive alteration of Howling Abyss, the League community sees mixed reactions towards the bugs whether if it’s the map or Anivia itself causing the bug.
