Bjergsen reportedly left Team Liquid for LEC and LCS offers

According to many reports, Bjergsen will be a free agent in 2023 and is considering offers from both LCS and LEC.

After just one year with Team Liquid, LCS veteran Sren “Bjergsen” Bjerg is departing and will be a free agent in 2023. This follows a disastrous 2022 season with Liquid, in which the team failed to win any LCS championships and so failed to represent NA in the 2022 World Championship.

While fourth place isn’t a horrible place to finish for most teams, Team Liquid’s players were held to such high standards that anything less than perfection was considered a failure. It seemed obvious that Team Liquid will make some changes over the off-season.

Bjergsen is said to be leaving Team Liquid after a year.

Given how long he spent on TSM, it’s surprising to see him return to free agency after only a year with TL. And, despite having developed his career in the LCS, he’s apparently open to playing for a LEC team. If Bjergsen does change teams next year, it will be the sixth team he has played for in his career and the third since moving to North America.

The fact that the first claim came from someone within LEC sources suggests that Bjergsen has communicated with LEC teams.

For the greater part of a decade, Bjergsen has been one of the top mid-laners in NA. Though he momentarily stopped from playing in 2021 and focused on coaching before leaving TSM, he returned to the big stage as a mid-laner in 2022.
