Riot Games is implementing a new League of Legends feature: special recall for players that reach Challenger rank, or Honor 5
Earlier this year, Riot developers stated that they intended to make the League of Legends’ behavioral system impact more on the game by developing solutions that actually benefit the players, such as awarding awards based on the honor system.
A unique recall animation is one of the incentives that will be provided to honorable players. Riot also rewards Challenger players with their own distinct recall animation much like Honor 5 rewards.
Recalls in League are universal, which means that while certain skins have distinct animation recalls related to the champion, the blue, circular recall signal stays the same. So, the particles in these two new recalls have been modified and are much nicer than the original.
Like the symbol, the Honor 5 recall has an amber, or light orange, palette and gold hues, as well as flowers spawning right at the champion’s feet. A similar image is seen floating above the champion’s head, as golden specs shoot beyond above.
In the Challenger recall, three gleaming golden plates encircle the champion. The blazing light blue circle surrounding them accelerates, culminating in a golden halo with blooming crystal wings.
Riot is also planning on a “special skin” for players who reach Honor 5 for the conclusion of the 2022 season. There is currently no official statement on which champion will receive this skin or how it will appear in the game. The only certainty is that if players want a chance to receive the exclusive skin, they must not be toxic and have a positive attitude towards any game.
