Riot states that new champions from League will have nothing to do with Arcane, whipping out all of fans’ theories

Theories about characters like Mel or Silco becoming a champion in League have been denied

As we all know, Arcane Season 1 has come to an end with full of compliments from critics and fans. The movie has been described as a huge hit for Riot Games in terms of movies production.

Arcane is unusual in that it does not focus solely on developing characters who previously feature in League. Mel and Silco are well-developed characters with interesting backstories, psychological transformations, and roles in the film. Not to mention, despite only appearing in the League universe through the Arcane series, these characters have developed a modest following base.

Theories about Silco becoming the next Support champion was once a brought-up topic
Leader of the Firelight (Ekko) was thought to be the next marksmen even before Arcane

As a result, numerous theories about these characters will be the next League of Legends champion has been approved by the community. However, fans will be disappointed to learn that the planned new champions have nothing to do with the Arcane, thanks to a recent comment from Riot’s development team.

“Are the upcoming adc+supp coming early next year characters from arcane season 1?”

Reav3: “No, that’s the reason we moved them out of the end of the year. I couldn’t get specific at the time since i couldn’t say what the event was when the roadmap came out, since it was dull under wraps. We felt it would be weird to release champs that aren’t related to or in Arcane in the middle of the Riot x Arcane event.”

All ideas about the character in Arcane appearing in the movie have been shattered, according to Reav3.

Basically, we still don’t know much about the 2 new champions and only know that they’ll be a pair of Marksmen – Support. We’ll have to wait until early 2022 for a more in-depth look at the new characters Riot is planning to introduce to the game.
