DWG KIA’s new brand is Dplus KIA
Damwon Gaming dominated in 2020, easily capturing both domestic and global titles. To celebrate the year 2021, Damwon Gaming teamed with KIA and abbreviated Damwon Gaming to DWG, giving us DWG KIA.
In 2023, the firm will be known as Dplus KIA, and it will be trying to dominate the LCK once again.
Joon young Lee, Dplus KIA vice Chairman/COO – “We’re excited to create a new chapter in this organization’s storied history with this phenomenal team and the bold projects we have in store for this year that will bring a new wave of fans to the Dplus KIA family,”
Dplus has unveiled its new lineup, which is dressed in black and white, a new color scheme for the company. The “D” in Dplus is supposed to cling on to what remains of their moniker as Damwon while embracing a new identity as a squad with increased “global recognition,” according to a press release.
Dplus KIA has more than a potential lineup heading into the LCK 2023, with current world champion Kim “Deft” Hyuk-kyu joining the side. Their Dplus branding will be showcased during Deft’s show match vs Faker on January 10, providing fans with a first peek at Damwon’s next move.
