According to a Fortnite leaker, a new Arcane partnership will add Mel to Epic Games’ famous online title
Fortnite, Epic Games’ battle royale game, is known for its enormous collaborations, so it came as no surprise when they collaborated with League of Legends’ Netflix series Arcane, adding Jinx to the game in her own skin.
Vi, also a character from the series, was subsequently introduced with the release of Fortnite’s v19.10 update.
And it appears that Epic Games is not done yet. According to Fortnite leaker HYPEX, the next Fortnite x Arcane collaboration would introduce Mel Medarda, the ambitious and scary politician, to the game.
This information reached HYPEX from two distinct sources, both of which he claims were right on many occasions. The unidentified sources reportedly made no mention of a release date for the alleged crossover.
However, fan reaction has been mixed, with many expressing disappointments. Caitlyn, who plays a larger role in the main character’s journey, is preferred by some. On the other side, some fans would also want to see some other characters like Ekko, too.
Given the regularity with which Fortnite characters cross over, it’s just a matter of time until additional League of Legends characters appear.
League of Legends Arcane season 2 is planned to come in 2023, therefore we won’t know until there is an official release or announcement.
