Jensen is now having the highest salary in NA region.
Recently, on League of Legends reporter Travis Gafford’s Twitter, he twitted about Jensen’s contract extension with Liquid ahead of the 2021 LCS Spring Split.
This contract represents the highest salary of any player in LCS history, surpass Impact’s three-year, $3.4 million contracts with Liquid in 2017 and Huni’s two-year, $2.3 million signings with Dignitas last year.
After failing for Worlds 2020, Jensen will rejoin Liquid for the upcoming season. They ultimately fell out of contention for the Summoner’s Cup after Suning defeated G2 Esports in the tie-breaker match for first in Group A. But with the retirement of Bjergsen, his contract can compete in the LCS tournament in the first seed and change the play style of NA with the joining of OPL’s professional players.
Furthermore, Jensen’s contract extension follows a report from ESPN detailing Liquid’s interest in Alphari, an European Toplaner under a multi-year contract worth more than $1 million a year.
Even though this contract has been announced, the 2020-21 League of Legends free agency window will open at 6 pm CT on Nov 16. his contract extension is expected to be signed in the “very near future,” according to Gafford.
