Kog’Maw might become a ticking bomb with his first-ever Passive buffs in Patch 13.8

Kog’Maw players in League of Legends are ready for some unusual plays, as Riot Games is working on the first-ever buff to his passive.

The Void champion’s passive damage will be buffed from 125-550 to 140-650, as revealed in the early Patch 13.8 notes. While this is a tiny improvement, Reddit users noticed that it is the first straight buff to the passive ability since the champion’s debut in the game in June 2010.

Furthermore, LoL fans highlighted out that by being Ghosted after he dies, Kog’Maw would gain another buff to his passive.

On the other side, while this buff isn’t much and shouldn’t have a large influence on his power, it’s not the only change he’ll see in Patch 13.8.

In addition, the champion will have a shorter cooldown on Q, a lower mana cost on E, and a larger slow on the latter. Overall, these buffs have the potential to convert Kog’Maw into a late-game carry and give him a viable pick from the pro players during the Mid-Season Invitational 2023.

Some players, on the other hand, suggested that this passive be deleted. However, as others have pointed out, having such a “useless” passive is what keeps Kog’Maw in check and prevents him from bullying other AD carriers in lane.
