A League of Legends pro was banned for a number of violations, including boosting, win trading, toxicity and account sharing
Riot Games released a competitive judgement against an Ultraliga team coach on February 16 as a result of several rule infractions. Following the claims, Maroon Bells, a team in the Ultraliga 2nd Division, had their coach suspended from professional play for a year.
Head coach of Ultraliga 2nd Division has been suspended for a year
Konrad “Kaseko” Szewczak, the head coach of Ultraliga 2nd Division competitor Maroon Bells, has been suspended from competing at the professional level after a string of violations of the LoL esports competitive code.
Kaseko, according to Riot Games, had committed these violations several times throughout multiple league seasons, on both EU and NA servers.
The allegations leveled against Kaseko are various. The in-game toxicity indicates that teammates are being harassed via chat, pings, and other ways. Riot Games bans a player based on this alone, however there have been instances of exceptionally rude behavior being dealt with a competitive ruling.
When playing against another player, win trading is the act of arranging for a member of the opposing team or oneself to purposely ‘throw’ the game in League. This is often done at higher ranks to assist the benefiting player in climbing the ranks or preventing them from being demoted.
Kaseko has been suspended from competing in competitive play for a year, until February 16, 2023. These kinds of instances are uncommon, but they usually cause a stir in the community when they occur.
