League of Legends patch 13.6 is set to release next week, and the developers have already revealed the set of changes as well as the roster of champions set to receive buffs and nerfs in the upcoming patch. However, Spideraxe verified on Twitter today that Mundo will also be seeing some changes.

With League of Legends patch 13.6 most likely being the MSI 2023 patch, the importance of the upcoming patch is critical as it has the potential to significantly impact the game’s meta. With many off-meta champions receiving buffs, as well as Dr. Mundo and a slew of system adjustments, League of Legends patch 13.6 may put some champions back into the meta.

Dr. Mundo Jungle buffs in Patch 13.6

Dr. Mundo’s adjustments in League of Legends patch 13.6 suggest a shift in his dominance from top lane to jungle. These changes may not make him as powerful as he was prior to the patch 13.1 nerfs, but he may find a new home in the jungle position, again. While his influence in top lane has been significantly reduced, he still retains a respectable 51.6% winrate and a 2.24% pickrate in Plat+.

Dr. Mundo’s effectiveness in the top lane will most likely suffer as a result of these adjustments. This is particularly worrying given that bruiser champions currently rule the meta.

However, the devs’ decision to buff monster damage on his E is definitely intriguing. Dr. Mundo was previously a popular jungle pick, and with the current shift in the jungle from early-game teamfight to complete clearing, he is likely to thrive in this position once more.

With other champions dominating the jungle meta, Dr. Mundo’s return to this position will undoubtedly thrill players, as he offers great value as a frontline champion with high scaling to the team. Players should see more of his presence in the jungle as patch 13.6 hits live servers in March 22.
