As the first international League of Legends competition approaches, Riot Games is shaking up the meta, possibly resulting in a highly intriguing patch for both solo queue and pro players.
Patch 13.7 sought to shake up the whole jungle meta in pro play by nerfing all top-tier junglers and other champions. As a result, there will be more buffs than nerfs in Patch 13.8. This will be the MSI update, and a lot of meta plays are expected with all of these changes.
Riot Phroxzon, the League balancing team’s lead designer, gave fans a sneak peek at what to anticipate in Patch 13.8 via a preview issued today, with the precise in-game adjustments scheduled to be disclosed tomorrow.
This list comprises a significant number of buffs designed for champions who live in various parts of the Rift, which will be in effect for the duration of MSI when it launches on May 2.

This patch will provide eleven buffs in total. Riot is obviously working hard to add new champions into the metagame. According to Riot Phroxzon, these buffs mostly introduce more junglers to the game, along with some other general ones.
The jungle buff list includes Nidalee, Lillia, and Kha’Zix, all of whom remain formidable picks but have low pick rates, so Riot is likely to enhance what was modified or another component of his kit to compensate.
On the nerf list, there are just four nerfs, since Malphite is finally being nerfed. Nerfs to Aurelion Sol, Jarvan, and Rakan are also on the list. Jarvan gained a lot of priority in the most recent patch, and Rakan has been a nightmare in pro play. As a result, those champions are all expected to be nerfed.
Because this preview highlights potential changes to League, it is likely that many of these patch 13.8 updates will be changed before they are released on live servers on April 19.
