A League streamer literally calls Riot August after getting one-shotted by Viego

Following a special League of Legends stream, famous Twitch streamer and OTK content creator Emiru did something that many players found surprising: immediately call Riot August to rant against Viego after being on-shot by the champion

Viego, the Ruined King, has been one of the most controversial champions in recent LoL history. August ‘August’ Browning, the Lead Champion Developer, created him, along with many other champions, and the character has proven himself as one of the most annoying champions to play against in the game.

Twitch streamer Emiru discovered this the hard way after an encounter with the jungler enraged her so much that she phoned August live on stream.

Midway in the game, the opponent Viego drops down to bot to grab an easy kill on his opponents. After being initially stun locked, the streamer went from 100 to 0 in a couple of seconds. She then immediately dialed Riot August’s number.

“So why did you make it so Viego can kill me from full health?”

“I’m stunned the whole time! I was ulted as Jhin and he just walked up and killed me.”

The unfortunate League dev replied ironically:

“Well, when I was making Viego, I thought, ‘you know, one of these days, Emily is going to play against him and I want her to have a really bad time. So I made him to counter Jhin. That’s it, that’s the story actually.”

Emiru then reacted angrily to Riot August’s responses, laughing off her discomfort despite the fact that she still had to deal with a fed and broken champion for the rest of the game. Though Emiru’s concerns about Viego’s champion design may have gone unheard, surely her time on the Rift isn’t over with the whole Viego situation.
