LoL players slammed Honor 5 ‘worthless’ rewards system

League of Legends players have expressed dissatisfaction with the older Honor 5 system rewards, deeming them “worthless leftovers.”

Riot Games, the developer of the popular MOBA, has implemented numerous changes in response to the evolving landscape of the game. Over the years, LoL has become more competitive, with players continually improving their skills. However, the heightened competitiveness has also led to increased toxicity within the community, diminishing the overall enjoyment of the game.

In an effort to encourage positive player behavior, Riot introduced the honor system, which was designed to reward well-behaved players.

Unfortunately, players are now criticizing the developers for the perceived insignificance of the Honor 5 rewards. Initially intended to provide players reaching Honor 5 with tokens exchangeable for skins, the system underwent changes that introduced the new Three Honors skin lines, sidelining the token system.

This abandonment of the token system has sparked discontent among players who feel the rewards are now inadequate. Some players have suggested that a more robust Honor system would be instrumental in reducing toxicity within the community.

The future of the Honor 5 system remains uncertain, especially with the introduction of the new Three Honors Akshan. Players speculate that this release might signal the phasing out of the previous system.

Whether Riot Games has plans to revamp or replace the Honor 5 system in light of community feedback and the evolving in-game landscape remains to be seen.
