Neeko’s win rate surged for the 1st time from the recent Hitbox buffs patch 12.4

After her release, Neeko hasn’t seen much action in League, but everything is changing, and it’s all about the recent buffs

Since her previous modifications, Neeko has had a win rate of less than 50% at all ranks (which went down to 47% at points during the patch). Even after she was discovered to have several bugs, her pick rate was among the lowest in the game.

She was only used infrequently in pro play, mostly as a mid laner but also as a top or support. Then, with patch 12.4, her win rate climbed by over 5%, and her popularity is only increasing from time to time. After her latest League of Legends improvements, Neeko has soared to the top of the tier charts as one of the game’s strongest mid laners.

How did Neeko’s win rate go up so much?

According to Lolalytics, her win rate has increased to 52.37 %, and her playrate is gradually improving as well. It only gets better as she moves up to higher elo, with her winrate in Diamond+ games exceeding 55.60%. From the looks of it, she now has one of the highest win rates in the game.

It’s all because to her massive League patch 12.4 buffs. Neeko’s Q received a damage increase, as well as a cooldown reduction on her W clone. The most significant modification, however, was decreasing her hitbox size from one of the game’s largest at 80 units to a regular mage size of 65 units.

It may appear insignificant, but since Neeko takes a lot of damage while engaging in a team fight, being able to avoid skills with the smaller size adds up. Those buffs immediately propelled The Curious Chameleon back into the meta.

While the influence on pro play won’t be seen for another week, Neeko players are celebrating the comeback of their powerful champion.
