To commemorate the arrival of spring, League of Legends is once again releasing bee-themed skins for four champions.
The latest batch of skins will contain four new looks, with Ziggs, Heimerdinger, Nunu, and Orianna taking center stage. All four champions have adopted their individual bee concept and will undoubtedly shock their opponents as they approach Summoner’s Rift in their new bee costumes. BZZZiggs, Heimerstinger, Orbeeanna, and Nunu & Beelump will join the party.
These additional skins will be added to an existing skin line that already contains Bee’Maw, Beezahar, Yuubee, Beemo, and Beekeeper Singed. All of these new cosmetics have proven to be successful, prompting Riot to keep the skin line going.
At first glance, the new bee skins in League may appear to be a joke, but a deeper look exposes some intriguing and interesting effects in the game. The skins are all crafted in yellow honey tones, with each champion giving their bee appearance.
Orianna will be dressed in a bee costume, and her ball will have the appearance of a bee and even a little bee within it. According to her splash art, the ball bursts forth globs of honey as it moves.
Ziggs will play the role of a bee bombardier, launching honey, flower, and bee bombs. For Heimerdinger, he will be the Summoner’s Rift’s bee master, creating honey-shooting bee turrets.
Finally, Nunu will be riding Willump, who has been transformed into a large bee monster. His snowball transforms into a massive honey ball that flies across the ground, while his ultimate transforms the ground into a gooey honeycomb that finally bursts.
The new skins will be available on the PBE in the next weeks before being released to live servers. The skins are scheduled to be released in March, along with patch 12.5.
