Caitlyn’s ability icon has just been updated in the PBE server.
Since her debut in League of Legends in 2011, Caitlyn has been one of the game’s most well-liked champions. However, her popularity increased even more following the release of Arcane, which prompted Riot to alter her appearance and abilities.
In 2021, the Caitlyn Art & Sustainability Update, or ASU, brought about the alterations. The ASU modified her abilities, added visual clarity, changed her character model, and brought her in line with the League of Legends contemporary design ideas.
Riot ignored the opportunity to update her ability icons despite the fact that the ASU was a resounding success. Because of this, her ability icons have remained unchanged since her debut and are somewhat old in comparison to contemporary ability symbols.
Riot thereupon declared that they would update the ability icons after all these years.
Riot has largely maintained its similarity with the new symbols while getting rid of the visual clutter. In contrast to the previous icon, which seemed more like a laser pointer, they also made the icons readily recognized, particularly the R – Ace in the Hole icon. Furthermore, she appears to be shooting an adversary from a distance in the new symbol. Riot did an excellent job of enhancing visual clarity as well.
Caitlyn’s new icons release date
The PBE (Public Beta Environment) servers are presently hosting the new Caitlyn Spell Icons for testing. On Wednesday, November 2, 2022, patch 12.21 will be released on live servers.
