Riot confirmed that they will buff Mundo in the next patch 12.22, which has been highly expected
Dr. Mundo debuted in late 2009. He was initially an easy-to-play champion, as his kit depended heavily on him healing. Overall, his previous gear was quite unimpressive by modern standards.
Dr. Mundo then obtained his VGU on June 9, 2021. Even while the visual upgrades were excellent, the opportunity to rebuild was a little disappointing. The champion’s transformation undoubtedly transformed the Zaunite nightmare at the beginning, but he has wandered on the Rift for so long without any impact, so Riot wants to change him again, turning him into a late-game monster with significant buffs.
Recently, Riot Twin Enso confirmed all the Mundo changes that will arrive in Patch 12.22.

R – Maximum Dosage

One thing to keep in mind is that these adjustments were announced quite some time ago. As a result, these modifications are subject to change as above.
The major goal of these changes is to help Mundo achieve a more consistent win rate. Furthermore, it prompted him to drift more toward the end of the game. If all of the adjustments occur as expected, he may potentially become a threat in the late game.
The Dr. Mundo updates will go live on November 16 with patch 12.22.
