In another episode of /dev, Riot gives us a glimpse of the gameplay basics and Tag mechanics in the highly anticipated fighting game tentatively titled Project L
Even unfinished, Project L is looking to be a massive hit
Gameplay footages showcase Project L’s smooth animations, splendid arts and fluid combat system, even unfinished. When the demo looks THAT good, fans of Runeterra and fighting genre alike can have high hopes of the full release.
The dev diary is Riot’s 2nd promise update this year on the under-development fighting game. The first was an introduction of the game and announcement that it will be a free-to-play title. This second update acquaints us with a Tag assist system, Riot’s effort at adding depths to the gameplay and including teamplay elements into combat.
No release date has been locked in by Riot since their announcement of Project L (possibly titled Rift Rumble) 3 years ago. But considering the fact that gameplay demos are up and ready to be demonstrated, and Nick Cannon’s confirmation that Illaoi is already fully playable, fans can expect good news comes 2023.
