Riot might consider turning Silco into a champion in League?

In terms of movie production, the TV series Arcane has been characterized as a big success for Riot Games. After season 1 of the series has ended, fans started to wonder if the company would turn those characters into real champions in the game.

Silco’s stunning performance in Arcane had the character winning over League of Legends fans. However, following a surprising TFT addition, Riot has addressed speculations that the character may be heading to League of Legends.

While he is an important element of the show, he can hardly be a playable champion in League of Legends. However, Silco has already been announced by Riot that he is on the way to TFT, and players also want the same thing to happen to League. So, Riot is working to include the main antagonist into the League universe.

Silco’s future with the League universe?

Despite the effort, one question still arises both the fans and the devs: What would Silco do as a champion? For now, no solution has yet to occur with all the major drawbacks of the character’s style from the movie, according to a Reddit post.

“what would he even do as a champ tbh ? make your ad carry drink shimmer and become a juggernaut that can’t be 1v1d by the other support ? what about the 3 other spells ?

He feels too “normal” to be a champ imo and seeing him do some insane shit would betray his portrayal in the show.”

In addition to the fans’ opinion, Reav3 also stated about the character:

“This basically nails the reason why we have no current plans to bring Silco to LoL. His silhouette for one would not even be close to passing our unique silhouette bar, which is very important for gameplay clarity in LoLMoba”

Silco’s silhouette is nothing special

“He also doesn’t have a clear source of power that would translate into a good League kit. We could attempt to solve both of those problems, but in doing so he would likely be so different from who he was in the show that he wouldn’t be the character everyone fell in love with anymore.”

However, not all hopes are fallen yet. On behalf of all the features making him a playable champion, Reav3 said:

“Not saying we will never bring Silco to League of Legends, just that we currently don’t have any plans to do it,”

It comes after the devs announced that they will look into the possibility of bringing Arcane characters into League of Legends. With Riot already planning the next two champions, the first of which is set to premiere in early 2022, it may be a while before fans’ favorite villain is available in League of Legends.
