Riot Games: League Emote Wheel is confirmed to be Reworked

More Emotes for players to spam

League of Legends is a multiplayer game that requires players to communicate well with one another. However, other than talking in chat, League offers few options of interacting and expressing feelings.

To address the issue, Riot created the emote wheel in patch 7.18. Riot first launched the feature as a method of communication, but it quickly evolved into a tool for player to taunt each other. Riot, on the other hand, embraced this aspect and created a slew of meme-worthy emotes from patch to patch.

Riot has also indicated that they would be adapting for a new Wheel in their Preseason 2023 Preview post on Reddit.

According to Riot BarackProbama, the Emote Wheel Rework is still in the works. So there aren’t many specifics to go on.

But, based on the new Ping Wheel redesign, we can predict what we’re getting. We will almost certainly receive a larger Emote Wheel with at least eight or nine slots. Based on the present condition of the game, we may also get extra emote slots. Some players have also requested that emotes be sorted by champion.

But for now, we don’t know much about the Rework, we’ll have to wait and see what Riot has in store for us.

Riot BarackProbama has also stated that the adjustments will not be in the initial preseason. So, based on the circumstances, the new Emote Wheel should arrive to League early next year.
