Riot to modify Zac’s ‘Secret Weapon’ in League Patch 12.22

Riot has finally fixed Zac’s unpleasant interaction after more than five years of waiting

Zac is a League of Legends tank jungler that is usually in the meta due to his ability to swiftly punish opponent mistakes. Although Zac enjoys punishing ADCs and supports by jumping at them and utilizing Stretching Strikes, he would be stuck if there was only one target. Riot Games, on the other hand, is working to change that.

It was initially added to the game in Patch 7.9, alongside the Zac mini-rework. It has since stayed in the game without Riot’s attention, but Riot has finally detected. As a result, they will be repairing his “secret weapon” in Patch 12.22.

Zac changes in Patch 12.22

Originally, his Stretching Strikes required him to perform the ability on one target then auto-attack the other target in order to draw them toward each other. The only issue Stretching Strikes has had is that he has never been able to use on non-champion characteristics to activate the second portion of his ability.

Riot, as previously said, has finally discovered the problem after five long years. Riot August also stated on Twitter:

“Checked in a fix for Zac’s Q not being able to pull people if you attack weird stuff like Illaoi tentacles and GP barrels.”

This is a significant shift in Zac’s quality of life that will undoubtedly benefit him when he is at his least efficient in the early game or 1vs1 situations.

Although August did not specify which new features would be affected by this change, it is likely that any auto-attackable created creatures or things on the field, such as wards and destroyable traps, will be affected.

The adjustments are presently available for testing on the PBE. It will be available on League of Legends live servers with patch 12.22, which will be announced on November 16.
