Riot Games disclosed a variety of modifications to Neeko in League of Legends this year, and one of the devs demonstrated her amazing skills
Riot Games just released a video on League of Legends season 2023. Riot also posted three more dev logs discussing various areas of the game. One of these videos focuses on mid-scope updates.
Riot explained why and how they perform mini-reworks in the mid-scope video. They also revealed how long it takes them to deliver a champion’s mid-scope update. Finally, they teased quite a bit about Neeko’s planned mini-rework.
Neeko’s new passive
We can see some modifications to her passive in the video, which is the major purpose of her mid-scope update.
Instead of merely transforming into her allies, she may now transform into a ward, minion, plant, mushroom, and nearly anything else. She may even disguise herself as one of her teammates. It’s comparable to another issue Neeko recently discovered, in which she can transform into any “unit” in League of Legends.
In the video, the Curious Cameleon may transform into non-champion Rift features such as the Scuttle Crab or a ward. When she transformed into the former, the player was allowed to roam freely on the Rift, implying that if Neeko morphs into another creature, she may still move freely on the Rift.
Riot has yet to divulge much about Neeko’s mid-scope update. Nonetheless, she appears to be an exceptionally good pick, especially for those who have already played her.
It’s unclear whether the passive adjustment will be Neeko’s lone change in the impending mid-scope update. Typically, these changes affect at least a few abilities, so it’s probable that her ultimate may be updated as well, but specifics remain unclear for the time being.
