Riot’s next fighting game, Project L, has been given the official title Rift Rumble
Riot Games released a clip commemorating their tenth anniversary in late 2019. They unveiled a slew of new games in that video. The most well-known was Project: A, which was eventually renamed to VALORANT. Project L was another that received a lot of attention.
The League of Legends Runeterra world takes the setting for Project L, a brand-new fighting game from Riot. It’s a tag team fighting game, similar to many popular titles these days like Mortal Kombat and Street Fighter…
Project L’s official name has been leaked?
Initially, there was a game named Rising Thunder that was underdeveloped by Radiant Entertainment. Rising Thunder attempted to change the fighting game landscape by significantly relying on combinations and special moves with cooldowns, whereas typical fighting games were created primarily for controllers and fighting sticks.
Riot Games bought Radiant Entertainment in 2016 when this game was in development. Rising Thunder’s development was subsequently halted. However, it was announced in 2019 that Radiant Entertainment was in charge of producing Project L.
Riot Games has recently filed a number of trademark reports. All of these complaints have one thing in common: Rift Rumble.
Riot has copyrighted various titles in its database, including Intercontinental Rift Rumble, RIFT RUMBLE SERIES, WESTERN RIFT RUMBLE, PACIFIC RIFT RUMBLE, and EASTERN RIFT RUMBLE, to name a few.
There are several theories about this trademark. The first possibility is that it is a Wild Rift competition. This theory is readily refuted by examining Wild Rift’s trademarks, which have Wild Rift printed in filings.
Another prevalent theory is that this marks the return of Rift Rivals, a major League of Legends event. For now, we can only assume such circumstances because Project L has not set its release date.
