Riot has just released a stunning trailer for the new and better Aurelion Sol
Aurelion Sol, the Star Forger, was introduced in League of Legends in 2016. And he is the game’s first genuine celestial dragon champion.
The Comprehensive Gameplay Update, or CGU, is a new type of update that tries to improve a champion’s kit without affecting its appearance. Furthermore, the update attempts to balance the champions that were just introduced.
Riot demonstrated Aurelion Sol’s abilities earlier this year in the season 2023 roadmap video. Riot Games also showed the updated VFX for his skins a few weeks later, which was stunning.
New ‘Finality: Aurelion Sol’ trailer
And just now, Riot has launched a trailer showing the redesigned and improved Aurelion Sol. And the trailer’s overall look is outstanding. Not to mention, it’s even more majestic than this year Season 2023 trailer.
This clip focuses on two aspects of the new Aurelion Sol: gameplay and backstory. He has become lot more powerful in terms of performance than he was previously. He is a scaling champion in his most recent incarnation. While he isn’t as strong in the early game, if he gathers enough stack of stardust, he will be one of the game’s best champions in the late game.
And the “strong” aspect links in with the story since Aurelion Sol is the strongest figure in the Runeterra realm. Pantheon, the first Aspect of War, was the only character stronger than A Sol himself. However, in the legend, he has been replaced by Atreus (the current Aspect of War that we play in the game).
Furthermore, now that he is free, no character in the mythology can stop him. That is why the trailer’s final phrase, “What’s the matter, Targon? “Losing your grip?” demonstrates that no element can defeat him in his current state.
