Rogue edged out a 3-2 victory against their rival MAD Lions to secure top 4 in the LEC playoffs and with that a guaranteed spot at Worlds 2022.

The LEC received a 4th spot for this year’s Worlds due to the cancellation of the CIS LCL, a consequence of the Ukraine war
Thanks to the extra spot, top 4 of the LEC Summer playoffs automatically secure at least a play-in seed at Worlds 2022. Thus, G2, Misfits, Rogue and MAD are just one Bo5 away from Worlds on the upper bracket as the top 4 of the groups
G2 though, has already qualified for Worlds due to their stellar performances in both the Spring and Summer Splits via championship points.
In an exhilarating 5-game back-and-forth, Rogue overcame the Spanish team and scored 1 extra win in their rivalry
MAD Lions got a 2-1 head start thanks to the efforts of Nisqy, but Rogue were the more daring team. They equalized the score 2-2 off the back of a 7-0-12 Ahri from Larssen, and with Worlds on the line, pulled out a Caitlyn/Lux to counter MAD’s Lucian/Nami instead of going for the no-brainer Zeri or Sivir. The risks paid off as Trymbi performed a masterclass on Lux and brought Rogue to NA this October.
With Fnatic in a slump, European League fans are witnessing the rise of a new rivalry in place of the legendary G2/Fnatic. Rogue and MAD are always neck-and-neck throughout this season, placing 3rd and 2nd respectively in the group stage and every series with them has been a total treat. Hopely MAD will make their way back up from the lower bracket to potentially face their rival once again.
