More information about the Sentinels of Light event has been revealed.

If you enjoyed League of Legends’ interactive in-client system for the Spirit Blossom event, Riot Games is introducing a similar experience to the game for the forthcoming Sentinels of Light event.

In the most recent video of LoL Pls, gameplay producer Jessica “Safelocked” Nam discussed various elements of the next League event. She didn’t say what type of system will be in place for the new event, but it should have lots of options to enable fans to delve deeper into the lore of Runeterra as the world’s different factions confront the forces of evil.

The Spirit Blossom event, which took over Summoner’s Rift and beyond in July 2020, was a huge success at the time. It was also the first time Riot introduced a new, dialogue-driven in-client system as part of the celebration, which required players to accomplish in-game missions that advanced the plot, while also enabling participants to talk to various champions within the event’s storyline.

It also adds that Sentinels of Light will be based on official lore, which means that whatever occurs during the event will have long-term consequences for the world of Runeterra and beyond. By developing this interactive system, gamers will be able to feel as if they are an active participant in the tale unfolding in front of their eyes.

This event and its storyline will eventually lead into the next turn-based role-playing game, Ruined King, which will be published later this year. Prepare to join the fight against the Black Mist as the Sentinels of Light event kicks off on Thursday, July 8 with League Patch 11.14.
