Soul Fighter will be added to League of Legends, Wild Rift, Legends of Runeterra, and Teamfight Tactics with huge batch of content. Here’s everything you need to know about the event.
Riot Games has released a hype event teaser for League of Legends, Teamfight Tactics, Legends of Runeterra, and Wild Rift on June 26. Soul Fighter is one of Riot Games’ most significant events to date. It incorporates skins, game modes, and features from several games.
Taking influence from anime tournament arcs and paying regard to the fighting game genre, Soul Fighter is the 2023 Summer event which includes new game modes, skins, gameplay features, and more across all four Riot titles.
Soul Fighter game modes
Players will be plunged in a unique parallel dimension where champions gather to fight in the world’s most prestigious competition: the Tournament of Souls. In keeping with the fighting concept, Soul Fighter will add a new game mode to League of Legends: Arena. Arena games pit four teams of two players against each other in alternating combat rounds.
They will power up with unique Augments after each round until only one team remains. Combat takes place on four distinct battlefields, each with its own unique size, terrain density, and theme.
Also, for League of Legends players, the game client will also have a game called “the Tournament of Souls”. Players will be Samira and collect Reputation by participating in games, allowing them to face new opponents and unlock new skills for Samira to advance further in the tournament.
The tournament’s goal is to defeat all 10 opponent champions and become the tournament’s new champion. After each win, players may claim awards and unlock the Story and Expert difficulty levels, each with varying levels of complexity for players of various ability and time dedication.
Also, there are other modes like Soul Brawl, and Tag Duel for players to enjoy in TFT, and Wild Rift respectively. Legends of Runeterra players will be able to obtain a new event pass as well as new cosmetics for their decks.
Soul Fighter skins
As teased in the event teaser, the champions receiving Soul Fighter skins in League of Legends are: Samira, Viego, Naafiri, Shaco, Pyke, Sett, Lux, Jhin, Gwen, and Evelynn. Pyke and Shaco will also receive a prestige edition of their skins.
Furthermore, until August 28, 20% of all revenues gained from Soul Fighter Samira, the Soul Fighter Event Pass, and any associated bundle sales in League will be given to the Riot Games Social Impact Fund.
The Soul Fighter event begins internationally on July 20th and will span six weeks, ending on August 28th.
