Riot Games has finally revealed the summer 2023 event, Soul Fighter, after months of speculation.
Summer is the most important season for League of Legends. This is when Riot delivers a new event with a lot of fresh content. Riot Games has been hyping the summer event for 2023 since early this year. According to them, this would be one of the most important occurrences in the game. Furthermore, Riot has just revealed the forthcoming summer event, Soul Fighter.
Riot dropped Soul Fighter Event teaser
The trailer, titled “Enter the Arena,” is for the summer event, which will certainly be League’s summer event in 2023, as events like Star Guardian and Sentinels of Light have been in previous years.
The teaser clip looks to be promoting another set of in-game skins, an in-universe event, and the long-teased 2v2v2v2 deathmatch mode.
The Soul Fighter trailer features League champions set to face off in a vast coliseum, complete with shouting spectators, falling confetti, and an announcer pumping up the crowd as the champions take centre stage. Several champions were showed off in the teaser, yet owing to how they’re lit and darkened, none of them can easily distinguished.
Each champion in this universe possesses a form of soul power, and the user of this power is permitted to participate in this tournament. In addition, the winner will get a “Soul Shard” that will grant one wish.
According to Riot, this event will include a lot of new stuff. New skins, a new 2v2v2v2 game mode, a new side mode, a new Darkin champion named Naafiri, and an ultimate skin for Samira are among them.
The Soul Fighter event will take place across many games, including League of Legends, Wild Rift, Teamfight Tactics, and Legends of Runeterra. Riot also showed out some special Wild Rift skins at the beginning of the clip.
Back in April, a summer release date for the new game mode was announced, and with the release of this video, League players are sure to gain even more information in the near future.
The Soul Fighter event will be available in League of Legends patch 13.14, which is set to be released on July 19, 2023.
