T1 to extend the contract with Keria, first MVP support player in LCK history

T1 has extended League of Legends support player Keria contract for another year

T1 announced on April 29 that they have extended the contract of their support player, Ryu “Keria” Min-seok, for another year. The support player’s contract will be extended until November 2023 as a result of this new contract.

This past Spring, the 19-year-old Support had a highly successful split with his team, having contributed to the team becoming the first-ever in the competition’s history to earn an unbeatable win streak.

T1 not only won the Spring Split and their 10th LCK title by not losing a single match but Keria was awarded the Regular Split MVP, an incredible feat for a support player. He is recognized for most of T1’s success since his teammates credit him with making “big brain” in-game decisions. Together with AD carry Lee “Gumayusi” Min-hyeong, the duo also broke the record for most kills and assists in a single season.

As the LCK representatives for the forthcoming Mid-Season Invitational 2022, T1 will compete with world-class teams such as Royal Never Give Up and G2 Esports. Because of T1’s success so far this year, many supporters are not only looking forward to the games against such teams from other regions but also see them as tournament favorites.

While the team has already achieved regional success, their attention is now focused on the forthcoming Mid-Season Invitational, which begins on May 10 and will be contested in front of a home audience located in Busan, South Korea.
