League of Legends Patch 12.14 is likely to include significant balancing changes, particularly for top laners with the Teleport nerfs
Patch 12.14 is preparing to release a slew of adjustment changes ahead of Worlds. These modifications will aim to shake up the current champion meta.
While there will be a number of champion improvements, the main highlights of the patch will be the nerfs to several of the enchanter items’ healing and shields.
Aside from that, another highlight of the patch that has found its way to the PBE is the Teleport modification.
Teleport Cooldown nerfs: 360 >> 420s, Unleashed Cooldown unchanged
Riot Games intends to extend the Teleport cooldown period by 1 minute, bringing it from 360 seconds to 420 seconds.
With Worlds 2022 just close by, players believe Riot is going out of hands to wreak havoc on the top lane meta, which is already in a bad shape in season 12 due to the already difficult role.
Teleport is probably the second most used Summoners’ Spell in the entire game, just after Flash, and even though it is used mostly by Top laners in solo-queue, the Spell is frequently used in professional scenes across different roles.
The meta then changed drastically after the Unleashed Teleport rework, and so it may happen again after this nerfs. However, there is a bright side to this; we believe that further nerfing the top lane will move the meta back to Flash and Ignite, making it even more fascinating to watch Worlds.
Overall, the devs have a slew of balanced adjustments planned for League of Legends patch 12.14, which is set to release on July 27.
