Tonight, the last Teamfight Tactics Mid-set 7.5 PBE patch was released; it included significant nerfs for qualities like Dragonmancer, Lagoon, and Shimmerscale as well as a much-needed nerf for Nilah.
Changes to PBE balance made today will take effect on live servers on September 8, which is a day later than usual due to the North American Labor Day holiday. A few significant changes were made to TFT Mid-set 7.5 champions, including a bonus to Lux and a four-cost for the Lagoon and Assassin characteristics on Nilah.
Additionally, a number of key characteristics, including Dragonmancer and Shimmerscale, received nerfs.
Stephen “Mortdog” Mortimer, the director of game design, posted the final patch before the launch for Dragonlands Uncharted Realms on Twitter tonight. There won’t be any additional modifications until Patch 12.18 on September 21, unless a B-patch is required.
Due to her combination of the Assassin and Lagoon traits, Nilah has disrupted backline carrier comps throughout PBE testing and has been a dominant terror. Her spell was given a nerf at one and two stars, while the Lagoon trait’s attack speed and ability power were also reduced.
According to game creator Kent “Riot Kent” Wu, a problem was fixed in Malphite that caused the Mid-Set 7.5 champion’s shield scale to derive ability power from the flat shield portion and not the health percentage element. And Lux is receiving a modest raise to her secondary spell damage at all three ratings following many nerfs during PBE testing.
Crown of Champions, Mogul’s Mail, Determined Investor, Gambler’s Blade, and Draven’s Axe were all severely weakened by the Shimmerscale trait. At 4/6/8, Tempest received a nerf. The guild was changed. Additionally, a few minor changes were made to the Dragonmancer trait.
Prior to Thursday, September 8th’s scheduled release of Dragonlands Uncharted Realms, players can test the Teamfight Tactics Set 7.5 PBE updates.
