Tyler1 blasted at League of Legends devs for not including voice chat

Tyler1 recently responded to the League of Legends Preseason 2023 update and shared his thoughts on the controversial voice chat topic in League

League of Legends Twitch star Tyler “Tyler1” reacted to the upcoming improvements Riot Games has planned for the title in the preseason update during a recent livestream.

Tyler1 assumed Riot Games was finally implementing the much-requested voice chat feature as the official video went on to describe upcoming improvements for the in-game communication system.

Riot’s Lead Designer Matthew “Phroxzon” said in the video that they were intending to create a better pinging mechanism, and the Twitch superstar felt baited by the way the dev delivered the news.

“Wait, there’s no shot this piece of s**t just did that, by the way. Like, it’s… it’s to a point where it’s not even funny! Like, you’re just a piece of s**t just for saying that. Actually, like, that whole little bit.”

Tyler1 spotted the upcoming modifications to the in-game communication system. He was certain that Riot Games had finally included voice chat to League of Legends. When Riot Phroxzon announced that they were overhauling and improving the ping mechanism, the streamer’s joy began to evaporate.

League of Legends players have long wanted a voice chat system. And Riot Games did not let players down by releasing the feature in early 2018 to make it easier for everyone on the team to interact.

Riot, on the other hand, thought that would be a poor idea to develop it because:

“Players who won’t/don’t want to use voice chat will immediately become a disadvantage to their team. Then, they’ll be flamed and spam pinged for this, further confirming that, yes, they should stay off of voice chat forever.”
