Arcane, the League of Legends Tv series, has astonished Hollywood as it dominates awards season. Riot Games’ first big production received 9 Annie Awards, including best TV show.

Arcane, the critically acclaimed animated series, took home the most honors at the 49th Annie Awards, which honors excellence in animation.

Arcane won every category for which they were nominated at the March 12 event, despite having nine opportunities to win. Best Voice Acting for Ella Purnell (Jinx / Powder), Animation Effects, Character Design, Directing, and the major one — Best TV/Media Show — were all on the list. They also won awards for Best Writing, FX, Character Animation, Production Design, and Storyboarding.

Although multiple episodes were honored, two, in particular, drew more attention than the rest. During last night’s event, episodes six and nine, “When These Walls Come Tumbling Down” and “The Monster You Created”, each received three awards.

While it hasn’t yet been nominated for an Emmy, given that the 73rd edition of the awards was held before Arcane ended, it’s only a matter of time before it is. The 74th ceremony’s nominations will be announced later in 2022.
