Jensen has officially left Team Liquid

After 3 years with the team, Nicolaj “Jensen” Jensen has officially left Team Liquid right before the 2022 League Championship Series. This event happens just after the legendary mid-laner Bjergsen joined Team Liquid.

Jensen spent most of his career with Cloud9, began in 2015, and stayed for three and a half years. He was never able to win a title with the team, finishing second in all three of his finals matches.

Then, he joined Team Liquid prior to the 2019 season, where he helped the team win two LCS finals in his first year, as well as the Mid-Season Invitational Finals.

TL before Worlds

However, the previous four splits have resulted in no finals victories for him and the team, with them finishing second in both the spring and summer of 2021. He also traveled to Worlds three times with TL, finishing with a 3-3 record each year and fail to advance past the group stage.

Steve Arhancet, co-founder and CEO of Team Liquid, praised the player, notably during Worlds, when he described Jensen as “laser-focused,” stating he played the most solo queue of anybody on the team.

Jensen has yet to sign with any team for the 2022 season. With the majority of the LCS rosters now set, he is unlikely to get a starting spot right on time for spring.

However, this won’t be the last time we see Jensen on the professional play. He isn’t going anywhere. “Once we get close to the start of the season, [I want to] make it a priority to get back into the LCS on a roster where I can make things happen and achieve what I want.”
