Junglers will be seriously lessened due to changes in the upcoming patch 11.4!
Since the outset of season 11, Jungler has become an extremely powerful role thanks to many beneficial changes from Riot Games. Just talk about jungle items, getting rid of Cinderhulk ones really helps junglers to save a large number of golds so as to reach their maximum power more quickly. Moreover, raising XP and golds received from monsters also make this role get closer to the carry role of a team.
This leads to the rising of Jungler role as their influence on the match is now so huge that they can change the situation of the whole match. In season 11, the phrase “jungle diff” referring to “better jungler, the match is yours” describes clearly the importance of this role. As a result, Riot decided to nerf it in patch 11.4 and particular information has been posted on Twitter by Riot Scruffy (Mark Yetter) – the Gameplay Design Lead for League of Legends:
Looking at those changes, we can easily recognize that Riot is making clearing camps tougher for junglers. About monsters having large damage like Gromp or Razorbeak, changes in patch 11.4 will take them more time and HP during their farming. It also means that ganking will be more difficult as their HP after clearing camps would be low and laners might be safer.
Besides, the decreasing of the amount of gold and XP also considerably influences the progress of gaining power of junglers. In all probability, those updates may strengthen jungle champions that can gank constantly in patch 11.4 as golds from kills are much better than farming. Who knows, champions like Nunu & Willump, Xin Zhao, or Rammus may become hot picks when this patch is published.
