Following Patch 12.10 Durability Changes, Riot devs are not slowing it down. Matt “Phroxzon” Leung-Harrison has revealed the next massive update, Patch 12.11
This big patch contains adjustments to the balance of dozens of champions, items, and systems. The impending patch will affect 30 items and systems in total.
The lead game balance designer for League of Legends, Matt “Phroxzon” Leung-Harrison, has announced a list of changes coming to the game in the next massive patch 12.11, with several promising modifications following the Durability Updates.
Riot is concentrating on item buffs rather than nerfs in this patch 12.11. Specifically, the developers want to buff AP Mythic items such as Everfrost, Hextech Rocketbelt, and Crown of the Shattered Queen. As well as Assassin-related items like Eclipse, Duskblade of Draktharr, and Prowler’s Claw.
Phroxzon also mentioned that Assassins are currently suffering in the current meta as they are “weak across the board”. Buffs are needed to their core items but the devs will be careful not to overbuff their burst potential.
Some of the major items for fighters and tanks will also be buffed. Blade of the Ruined King, Sterak’s Gage, Randuin’s Omen, and Sunfire Aegis are among those items. Some of these things, according to Phroxzon, have been “overnerfed,” such as BOTRK, or have become weak following the fighter item adjustments.
Tank items, according to Phroxzon, have been weak for several patch, and the devs are working to bring them back up. A few support items, such as Knight’s Vow and Zeke’s Convergence, will also be buffed.
Riftmaker, Umbral Glaive, Death’s Dance, and Kraken Slayer are all getting nerfed. According to Riot, this is because these items are just too powerful after the fighter changes.
Other system changes will include tower damage, Lethal Tempo nerfs and another Grievous Wounds adjustment.
With all the huge changes waiting for the players, Patch 12.11 is scheduled to be released on June 8.
